Production Engineer

Okay Flexibility, But Room For Improvement
Pros: As a Production Engineer, I appreciate that we sometimes get some WFH options for planning and report writing. It's not common in the manufacturing sector for roles like ours, so that's decent. There's also some flexibility to shift your start and end times if you really need to, which helps sometimes.
Cons: The hybrid model isn't truly flexible for many. As a Production Engineer, I'm tied to on-site plant operations most of the week in Pune. There's not much actual remote work, which can make work-life balance tough.
Advice to Management: Review hybrid policies for all roles, not just corporate. Trust employees more for remote work when possible, especially for tasks that don't require physical presence. Being more upfront about flexibility expectations for manufacturing roles would help.

Decent Place, But Work-Life Balance Can Be Tricky
Pros: The onsite environment is pretty good for connecting with people, and for a manufacturing company, the benefits are solid. You feel part of a big team, which is nice.
Cons: But honestly, for Supply Chain Analyst roles, the work-life balance can be a real struggle. There's constant pressure, especially during peak season for home appliances, which often means extra hours. Weekends aren't always safe from work, and operations can be demanding.
Advice to Management: Management should really try to protect employees' personal time more. Staff burnout is a real thing, especially for operations roles. Better resource planning could help reduce the need for constant overtime.

Big Company, Room for Culture Growth
Pros: As a Junior Marketing Associate in the Gurgaon office, I've learned tons about the consumer durables market. Job security is solid here, and it's a well-known brand.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty traditional and hierarchical. It's tough to get fresh marketing campaign ideas approved quickly. You don't get much flexibility for onsite work.
Advice to Management: Management should really work on fostering more open communication and embracing new ideas from all levels. The appliance manufacturing industry moves fast, so we need to be quicker.

Okay work-life for a big corporate
Pros: As a Product Manager, the hybrid model helps. You get some days remote, which is nice. For consumer durables, it's not bad if you manage your tasks effectively.
Cons: Work-life balance here is tough though. There are often late-night calls with global teams. Expect long hours, especially around product launches in appliance manufacturing.
Advice to Management: Leaders need to be more mindful of global time differences to cut down late meetings. It's a real drain on employees.
