At Tarro, we empower small brick-and-mortar restaurants by relieving them of the operational burdens of running their business. Our multi-product ecosystem provides AI-powered order taking, delivery enablement, and marketing solutions, creating a seamless connection between restaurants and their customers. By combining cutting-edge technology with a dedicated team, we tackle the real-world challenges faced by small business owners. We are customer-obsessed, working backwards from their needs to ensure their success is our success.
The U.S. restaurant industry represents a $1 trillion total addressable market (TAM), yet small restaurants often lack access to affordable technology. While large chains benefit from expensive tech, we believe small restaurant owners deserve the same advantages at a fraction of the cost. With the trust of thousands of restaurants, we're now serving tens of million of customers. We’re proud to have been named one of Built In’s top companies to work for in 2024.

Pros: I liked the flexibility for my software engineer role, especially for personal appointments. You get two WFH days a week, which is pretty good for a mid-sized tech company. The San Francisco office is also nice.
Cons: The 3-day onsite requirement is strict. There's not much room to shift WFH days if something urgent comes up. It feels a bit inflexible for a modern tech firm, especially when other companies offer more remote options.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexibility for WFH days or a fully remote option for certain roles. It'd really help with employee morale and retention, especially for senior software engineers.

Pros: I like the people I work with daily. Everyone on my immediate team, especially for us Software Engineer roles, is really supportive. There's a lot of flexibility working remote from Austin, which is great.
Cons: The overall company culture feels a bit disconnected. It's tough to build strong bonds outside your direct team, even with virtual events. Some of the decisions from top leadership don't always trickle down well to individual contributors.
Advice to Management: Try to find better ways to foster company-wide culture, not just within teams. More focused engagement for remote employees could really help bridge the gaps.
