Remote Life is Good, But Deadlines Hit Hard
Pros: Working remotely from Texas is a huge plus, really helps with personal stuff. For daily tasks in SaaS product development, it's pretty solid and you get decent autonomy.
Cons: Those Agile sprint deadlines can get rough though. You'll often put in extra hours, especially when big features are wrapping up. That really impacts your work-life balance for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic expectations for project timelines. Better resource allocation would help prevent burnout and improve work-life balance during crunch times.

Hybrid Model is Okay, Not Great for Software Engineers
Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, which is nice. I can work remote from Dallas, TX a couple days a week. For some software development tasks, it's pretty flexible on when you get them done.
Cons: But it's not truly flexible. We still have strict core hours for meetings, making it tough to truly utilize the WFH days. As a Software Engineer, I wish there was more autonomy over my schedule.
Advice to Management: Seriously reconsider the strict core hours. Empower teams to manage their schedules more effectively for better work-life balance and true flexibility.
