MiniMed is a full-stack insulin delivery company built around one belief: that technology should lift the burden of diabetes. So that every day is a better day. Days when diabetes fades into the background and life takes the lead. Joyful, messy, fully lived days — when things feel lighter, easier, more possible. Those are the days we’re here to make real.

Okay Pay, Solid Benefits for Med Device Roles
Pros: The health insurance plans are actually really good, which is a big deal in the medical device industry. They also have a decent 401k match after you've been here a bit. It really helps make up for some other areas.
Cons: Compensation for an Associate Product Manager feels a bit low compared to other healthcare companies in Southern California. Merit increases aren't huge, and there's not much room for salary negotiation when you start. It feels like they could do more with base salaries overall.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation bands for individual contributor roles, especially for mid-level positions. Better pay could really help retention for talent in the Northridge, CA office.

Demanding work, but good mission focus
Pros: The work itself is meaningful; developing insulin pump technology feels important. I've learned a ton about the medical device industry and the impact our products have. The benefits package is decent.
Cons: Work-life balance is tough, especially during major project deadlines. You're often expected to put in 50+ hour weeks. The hybrid work model helps some, but onsite requirements can still eat up your personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and timelines to avoid consistent crunch periods. More consistent WFH options could really help boost morale and reduce burnout for engineering roles.

Solid stability if you're okay with corporate pace
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the job security here is really solid. MiniMed's position in the medical device industry means essential products like insulin pumps keep things steady. It's a great place for long-term career stability, especially in the Northridge office and with hybrid work.
Cons: Innovation can feel a bit slow sometimes compared to smaller tech companies. The corporate environment means a lot of process, which can really drag projects. You might not always see rapid promotions here.
Advice to Management: Try to speed up decision-making processes and empower teams more. Less bureaucracy would really help morale and innovation.
