Okay Flexibility for Finance, But It Varies
Pros: SRR Group does offer a hybrid model which is a solid plus, especially for junior roles like a Financial Analyst. You can work from home a couple days a week. It really helps with the commute in the New York City office.
Cons: But don't expect too much flexibility when deal deadlines hit. It's still financial advisory, so client engagements often mean late nights. Remote work isn't always an option during crunch times, even with the hybrid model.
Advice to Management: Leadership should try to better manage client expectations to allow for more consistent work-life balance. Even for financial advisory, burnout is real. More trust in remote work capabilities for all levels would also help.

Culture is okay, but tough work-life balance
Pros: My team was great; we always had each other's backs on tough client projects. There's a decent camaraderie among the junior staff in the Chicago office. You really get to learn a lot fast in this mid-sized consulting firm.
Cons: The company culture from senior leadership feels a bit distant, not very transparent. Work-life balance as a Financial Analyst can be pretty rough, especially when project deadlines hit. The hybrid work model is okay, but sometimes you feel chained to your desk.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with the junior staff and be more transparent about company decisions. It would really help with overall morale and retaining talent in this competitive financial services industry.

Solid place for financial advisory, but culture is tough
Pros: I've gained a lot of experience as an Associate Consultant here. You work on diverse financial advisory projects, which is great for learning. The people in the Boston office are generally smart and helpful, especially when you're new.
Cons: The company culture can feel really demanding at times. It's often long hours, and work-life balance isn't always prioritized. There's some talk of a hybrid work model, but it feels more onsite for us.
Advice to Management: Try to focus more on work-life balance across all levels. A more genuine hybrid work model would really help with morale and retention for Associate Consultants, especially with project-based demands.
