Decent Flexibility for Mobile Developers, Room to Grow
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the hybrid work model is a real plus. We get a few WFH days a week which helps skip some of the brutal Taguig City traffic. It's good for managing personal stuff without eating into vacation time, especially in mobile technology.
Cons: While the hybrid model is okay, the mandatory in-office days can still feel restrictive. There's not much room for truly flexible hours on those days, and for some advanced development roles, more remote options would be better for productivity. It doesn't always feel like true work flexibility.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more fully remote options for senior technical roles within the software development team, especially those who consistently meet their goals. Trusting employees with more autonomy over their work location could boost morale and retention.

Okay Starter Company for Mobile Devs
Pros: I liked the team. Everyone was super supportive, especially as a junior Mobile App Developer. The office vibe was generally relaxed, which is nice for a tech startup in Manila.
Cons: The company culture started great but felt like it shifted over time. It's hard to get real work-life balance sometimes, especially with tight project deadlines. There's not much room for true innovation; it's mostly maintaining existing mobile content.
Advice to Management: Focus more on fostering innovation and clearly defining growth paths for your Software Engineers. This would really help with retention.

Work-Life Balance is Just Okay
Pros: For Mobile App Developer roles, they do try to offer some flexibility, especially for personal appointments if you communicate early. The Manila office has decent benefits, like health insurance, which helps out a lot. Team lunches are a nice perk, and it helps build some camaraderie in the tech industry.
Cons: Sometimes, the project deadlines are really tight, which means working late nights or even over the weekend. There's often an unspoken expectation for extra hours during crunch times, impacting personal time. The hybrid work model can be a bit inconsistent, sometimes feeling more onsite than truly hybrid.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project scope better so developers aren't constantly scrambling to meet impossible deadlines. A clearer and more consistent policy for hybrid work would also be greatly appreciated by the team.
