Decent Pay, Benefits Need Work at etera
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty solid. For a mid-sized tech company, I think it's competitive. The fact that it's a remote position, working from Dallas, definitely helps with cost of living too.
Cons: But the benefits package isn't great. Health insurance premiums are really high, which eats into your take-home pay. There's also no 401k match, which feels like a big miss for a company in the SaaS platform space.
Advice to Management: Please look into improving the benefits package significantly. Offering a 401k match and more affordable health insurance would make a huge difference in employee satisfaction and retention, especially for valuable software development talent.

Leadership is hit or miss, honestly
Pros: They do try to foster innovation, which is good. There's decent autonomy for individual contributors in the Austin office. The team members are generally solid to work with.
Cons: Leadership often lacks a cohesive vision for the product roadmap. It's tough to get clear answers on strategic decisions. Some managers don't really know how to support their teams effectively.
Advice to Management: Focus on developing stronger communication and a unified product strategy. Invest in leadership training for engineering managers, especially for those overseeing software development.
