Company Reviews

Promet Source is an award-winning, open-source design and development agency that offers custom design, custom implementations, private and public instructor lead training, web accessibility compliance, content development, Drupal consulting, and full 24x7 support to its clients.

Founded in 2003, Promet Source specializes in open-source solutions for government, higher education, association, healthcare, manufacturing, waste & water, and nonprofit clients. Promet Source’s founder, Andrew Kucharski, started the company as a digital solutions firm that focused on eCommerce projects for national brands.

After getting exposure to the Drupal community of open-source developers, Kucharski realized that Drupal would become the go-to solution for clients that need to solve complex problems in content creation, membership management, donations and fundraising, and responsive design. Promet Source realigned its core services and solutions to meet the needs of clients faced with these issues and set about solving problems with Drupal.

Okay Pay, Standard Benefits for Web Developers
Pros: For a Web Developer at a mid-sized agency, the starting salary was pretty fair. The health insurance plan is decent, and they offer a good amount of paid time off, which helps with work-life balance.
Cons: Don't expect much in terms of salary negotiation initially. Annual raises are usually quite small, which makes it hard to feel like you're growing financially as a tech professional. There aren't many bonus opportunities.
Advice to Management: Review the compensation structure, especially for experienced software development roles. More competitive annual raises would really help retain talent.
