Okay Place, Culture Has Its Quirks
Pros: The mission is really strong, focused on education, which I appreciate. Most colleagues, especially within my team in the Cambridge office, are genuinely supportive. It's a stable environment.
Cons: Things move super slow; it feels very corporate and bureaucratic sometimes. Decision-making gets bogged down in too many layers. It's tough to feel recognized for your hard work on projects.
Advice to Management: Empower teams to make decisions faster. Recognize staff efforts more publicly, it makes a huge difference to morale.

Slow Growth for Publishing Roles
Pros: As a Junior Content Editor, I learned tons about the educational publishing process. The team is supportive, and it's a stable, corporate environment with good benefits. It's a decent place for entry-level roles to get industry experience in the Cambridge, UK office.
Cons: Career progression for editorial roles can be really slow. There aren't many opportunities to move up quickly, and new internal positions are rare. It often feels like you're stuck in your current grade for a long time.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer paths for career advancement, especially for publishing and editorial staff. More internal training for promotions would help retain talent. It would be great to see more movement within the Cambridge, UK office.

Entry-level friendly, but career path can be a maze
Pros: It's a solid place to start your career, especially as an Editorial Assistant in educational publishing. You learn a lot about academic content and the internal processes. The benefits package is pretty decent too for a large corporate.
Cons: Career growth is tough here. There's not much upward mobility if you're looking to climb the ladder quickly within the assessment industry. Internal promotions are rare in the Cambridge, UK office, and formal training for next-level roles is limited.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clear career paths for existing employees. Invest more in internal training and development programs to help people move up.
