Decent WLB but often demanding
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the work-life balance here is generally okay. When we're not in a crunch, WFH flexibility is solid. They do offer good health benefits, which helps a lot.
Cons: However, it's a big tech company, and crunch times are real. I've often worked 50-60 hour weeks before major releases. It's tough on personal life when those agile sprints get crazy.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scope and set more realistic expectations for sprint capacity. It would greatly improve employee retention for engineering roles.

Pretty good job security for engineers.
Pros: They don't do mass layoffs often, which is nice for a big tech company. As a Software Engineer, you feel pretty secure here. The benefits package is solid, especially the health insurance.
Cons: Growth for individual contributors can feel slow. Innovation isn't always top priority, so things can get a bit stagnant in the technology sector. Hybrid work is mandated, which isn't for everyone in our San Francisco office.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career paths for individual contributors. Encourage more innovation to keep employees engaged and avoid stagnation in the tech world.

Solid tech company with good career potential
Pros: The work environment is collaborative, and you get to tackle interesting technical challenges. As a software engineer, I've had opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects and use new tools. The San Francisco office is pretty modern too.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough during crunch times; sometimes you're putting in long hours. It's a big tech company, so things can feel a bit corporate and slow to change. Pay and benefits are good, but maybe not top-tier for this market.
Advice to Management: Focus more on work-life balance for engineering teams, especially during demanding project phases. Better communication about company direction would also help. Employees would appreciate more transparency.
