Pros: The compensation for an Associate Analyst is decent for the investment management sector in India. You also learn a lot really quickly, which is good experience for your career.
Cons: Work-life balance is pretty bad. You're usually putting in 10-12 hour days in the Mumbai office, and weekend work isn't uncommon. It's tough to make personal plans.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously look at workload distribution for front-line roles. It feels like we're constantly understaffed for the volume of work required.

Pros: I've learned a lot about the financial services industry as an Operations Specialist. The benefits are pretty decent for a corporate environment. Some team managers are supportive, which is a big plus.
Cons: Senior leadership feels really detached from the ground level in Mumbai. Decisions often come down without clear context, making it tough for operations teams to adapt. This definitely impacts our work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Please work on transparency from senior leadership. We need clearer communication on strategic decisions. Being more visible to teams in Mumbai, especially those in operations, would really help morale.

Cons: However, it's still a corporate environment, so expect longer hours during crunch times or quarterly reporting. It can be tough to completely switch off. The workload can get heavy quickly, especially in the Mumbai office, and I've often felt the pressure.
Advice to Management: Try to manage workloads better during peak seasons. Even a hybrid model can feel draining if you're always online and can't truly log off.
