Decent place for stability, but little growth
Pros: As an IT Consultant, I found the job security here pretty solid. We mostly work on long-term government contracting projects, so there's not much worry about sudden layoffs. Being remote from Austin was a big plus for flexibility.
Cons: Career growth feels really slow; it's hard to move up the ladder. The pay isn't amazing, especially for specialized cybersecurity projects, but it's consistent. Sometimes you feel a bit stagnant without new challenges.
Advice to Management: Try to create clearer paths for career advancement for employees. It would help retain talent and keep people engaged in their roles.

Good WLB, but gotta set boundaries
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the hybrid work setup is pretty solid. I mostly work remote from Phoenix, AZ which saves on commute time. Most weeks are a consistent 40 hours, not much weekend work.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines mean late nights, especially in the tech industry during crunch time. It's tough to completely disconnect when you're always on Slack, impacting work-life balance a bit.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce stricter boundaries around after-hours communication to truly support work-life balance. More clarity on project scope helps prevent last-minute crunches.

Wyetech: Pretty Good for Work-Life Balance
Pros: As a Software Engineer at Wyetech, LLC, I've found the work-life balance to be mostly solid. We generally stick to 40-hour weeks in our hybrid work model, which is nice. The Atlanta office is pretty good about not pushing late nights too often.
Cons: Sometimes, big project deadlines for our IT solutions mean you're putting in extra time. It's not always consistent, especially if you're on a critical client delivery. Being a mid-sized tech firm, resources can feel stretched, impacting workload.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the crunch times during major project phases to keep the work-life balance consistent for everyone.
