Work-life balance is okay, depends on your team.
Pros: The hybrid work model is a real plus, especially for us Environmental Engineers at the Rye Brook, NY office. It makes managing personal appointments much easier. There's good flexibility if your manager supports it, which helps a lot with overall work-life balance.
Cons: Peak project times, especially in wastewater solutions or infrastructure projects, can mean long weeks. It's tough to consistently stick to 40 hours when deadlines hit. This can make fully disconnecting a real challenge for many.
Advice to Management: Try to ensure workload distribution is more even across teams, especially during critical water technology projects. Encourage managers to truly support the hybrid work model and help employees disconnect.

Okay Hybrid Setup, Room for Improvement
