Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.
Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.
Powering this growth is Turing’s talent cloud—an AI-vetted pool of 4M+ software engineers, data scientists, and STEM experts who can train models and build AI applications. All of this is orchestrated by ALAN—our AI-powered platform for matching and managing talent, and generating high-quality human and synthetic data to improve model performance. ALAN also accelerates workflows for model and agent evals, supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, reinforcement learning with human feedback, preference-pair generation, benchmarking, data capture for pre-training, post-training, and building AI applications.
Turing—based in San Francisco, California—was named #1 on The Information’s annual list of “Top 50 Most Promising B2B Companies,” and has been profiled by Fast Company, TechCrunch, Reuters, Semafor, VentureBeat, Entrepreneur, CNBC, Forbes, and many others. Turing’s leadership team includes AI technologists from Meta, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, X, Stanford, Caltech, and MIT.

Pros: The work-from-home model is fantastic for a remote software engineer. It's great to manage my own schedule, and I don't miss a commute. This company really delivers on work flexibility.
Cons: Sometimes, coordinating across so many time zones can be tough for meetings. You also have core hours, so it's not totally flexible with your schedule every single day. I've felt a bit disconnected from company culture at times.
Advice to Management: Try to foster better team cohesion for fully remote global tech talent. Maybe more regular optional social calls or non-work interactions to build connections across time zones.

Pros: The remote work flexibility is truly a major plus as a software engineer here. You can usually set your own schedule, which is awesome. It's a genuine global remote setup, letting you work from pretty much anywhere.
Cons: Even with the flexibility, some projects still demand long hours. There's not much team cohesion among individual contributors. Communication across so many time zones can be tricky to manage.
Advice to Management: Try to build more community and team opportunities for remote developers. Invest in better tools and processes for asynchronous communication. This would really help overcome the isolation some feel.

Pros: The compensation for my Remote Software Engineer role was pretty decent, especially for a fully remote position. You're usually paid competitively compared to local market rates, which is nice for software development jobs.
Cons: The benefits package isn't the strongest, especially if you're comparing it to big tech companies. There aren't many extra perks or significant bonuses, so don't expect a lot beyond your base salary for these developer jobs.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing the benefits package for global talent, it would really help with retention.
