Okay flexibility, but not for everyone.
Pros: I like the team I work with in the Milwaukee office. For a Process Engineer, the work itself is interesting, focused on battery manufacturing. We do get some flexibility with start times if you clear it.
Cons: Remote work isn't really an option for plant roles. Even with the hybrid model, being an onsite employee is usually expected. It's tough to balance personal stuff sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider more flexible policies for roles that *could* be hybrid, even partially. It would really help with employee morale.

Manufacturing Engineer

Okay work-life for engineers, but demanding.
Pros: The job security for engineering roles is pretty solid, and you often get decent benefits. When the production schedule isn't crazy, you can usually stick to 40-hour weeks. Being an onsite employee means good collaboration with production.
Cons: Work-life balance can totally get thrown off during peak times, especially for a Manufacturing Engineer in Florence, KY. There's pressure to hit targets, so overtime isn't uncommon. It's tough to make plans sometimes when you're always on call for production issues within the automotive battery industry.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage the workload during production peaks to prevent burnout for engineering staff. More support or clearer boundaries on on-call expectations would really help.

Okay for onsite, but don't expect remote options
Pros: As a Production Supervisor in the Milwaukee, WI plant, the schedule is pretty consistent. You usually know your shifts well in advance, which helps with personal planning. It's a solid, corporate manufacturing environment.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't really an option for many roles, especially in automotive battery manufacturing. You're expected onsite every day here. There's almost no hybrid or remote work available, which makes things tough.
Advice to Management: Look into offering more hybrid options for non-production roles. Modernize how flexibility is viewed across the board to stay competitive.
