Decent Pay for Entry, Benefits Are Just Okay
Pros: Starting salary for a Software Engineer here was pretty solid. I got a decent base pay and the 401k match helped a bit, which is good for a mid-sized tech company.
Cons: The health benefits package felt pretty standard, nothing special. Raises are super slow, and stock options aren't that exciting compared to other Austin, TX tech companies. It's tough to feel valued sometimes.
Advice to Management: You guys really need to re-evaluate the compensation strategy, especially for experienced software developers. Better health plans and competitive stock options would make a huge difference in retention.

Decent for a tech startup, but can be demanding
Pros: The hybrid work model is good, giving some flexibility for personal appointments. We do get unlimited PTO, which is nice, but actually using it can be tricky. For a Seattle tech startup, the general vibe is pretty collaborative.
Cons: Work-life balance can really suffer during major product launches. There's often pressure for Software Engineers to put in 50+ hour weeks. The on-call rotation also adds stress, making personal plans tough sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes to avoid consistent crunch times. Support employees using their unlimited PTO more openly.

Decent Pay for a Delivery Gig, That's It
Pros: The pay for delivery drivers at Zipr in Miami is actually pretty solid. You can make good money if you hustle, especially with the surge pricing for deliveries during busy times. It's a low barrier to entry job in the logistics industry.
Cons: Benefits are almost non-existent for contractors. There's no health insurance or paid time off, which really stings. The compensation structure can be confusing sometimes, and it's hard to get clear answers on mileage reimbursement.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to look into better benefits for their contractors, even basic options. Clearer communication about how pay is calculated would also help a lot for us out in the field.
