📌 Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor development team - guide technical decisions, resolve complex issues, and establish best practices to ensure consistent and reliable product delivery
- Own delivery quality and predictability - serve as the ultimate guarantor of code quality, timeline adherence, and consistent feature delivery that meets all established standards
- Establish and enforce development standards - implement coding standards, testing protocols, and quality gates to ensure every release meets excellence criteria
- Foster team growth and development - conduct technical interviews, onboard new developers, and create learning opportunities for junior team members
- Monitor and optimize team performance - track delivery metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maintain consistent output quality
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration - work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues - investigate production problems, optimize performance bottlenecks, and ensure system reliability
Hands-on Development
- Build and maintain core platform features - develop robust backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js ecosystem
- Design new features from concept to production - participate in the full development lifecycle, from initial design through deployment and monitoring
📌 Requirements
Experience & Leadership
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with proven track record of delivering complex projects
- 4+ years of hands-on Node.js development in production environments with deep understanding of JavaScript runtime
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience - leading development teams, mentoring developers, or serving as technical lead
- 5+ years of backend web development with experience in building scalable web applications and services
Technical Skills
- Advanced JavaScript proficiency - ES6+, async/await, promises, and modern JavaScript patterns
- Node.js ecosystem expertise - Express.js or similar frameworks, npm ecosystem, and Node.js best practices
- API development and integration - RESTful services, GraphQL APIs, WebSocket implementations, and third-party API integrations
- Database management - MySQL, MongoDB, Redis with experience in query optimization and schema design
- Message queuing systems - Apache Kafka and NATS for building distributed systems
- Version control and collaboration - Git workflows, code review processes, and collaborative development practices
- Containerization and orchestration - Docker for development and deployment, Kubernetes for production environments
- Cloud platform experience - AWS or Azure services for hosting and scaling applications
