Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
Follow recipes and prepare meals according to standards.
Plate dishes attractively and ensure portion control.
Work closely with other kitchen staff and servers.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding food prep, delays, or issues.
Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
Dispose of waste properly and ensure proper storage of food items.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months to 1 year in a professional kitchen, cafeteria, bakery or pastry kitchen or food service environment.
High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
Basic literacy and numeracy skills (reading recipes, measuring ingredients)
Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and cooking procedures accurately.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
