Dana Asia is seeking a highly experienced, Manila-based professional to assume full ownership of the organizations financial health and statutory regulatory adherence. The primary objective is to de-couple the CEO from financial administration, allowing executive leadership to focus on revenue

generation. You will manage global cash flow, board-level financial reporting, and multi-currency grant acquittals across Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Cambodia. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial stability and transparency across our international entities.

The Finance Manager oversees group-wide financial management, accounting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate records, strong internal controls, and compliant donor fund management, providing timely reporting for management, Boards, and donors. The position focuses on financial integrity and performance, collaborating closely with the Compliance Manager on non-financial compliance matters, including DFAT requirements.

Your Role

  • Board Reporting & Strategy: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements for Board review packs (P&L, Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis) and manage global cash flow forecasts (AUD, USD, PHP).
  • Financial management & reporting: Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date financial records across Dana Asia entities.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and financial reporting requirements in all jurisdictions.
  • Project & donor fund management: Oversee financial management of donor- and grant-funded projects.
  • Bookkeeping & accounting operations: Ensure timely statutory and regulatory financial filings (eg. BIR, SEC finance reports, Australian Tax Office - BAS reporting). Oversee bookkeeping, including transaction recording, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Social Business Fund (SBF) - Financial oversight: Oversee financial management of the Social Business Fund.
  • Financial compliance & risk oversight:Ensure financial activities comply with donor agreements, internal policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.

What Were Looking For

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in financial management, accounting, or similar role, ideally within the NGO or multinational sector.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of financial accounts to balance sheet level, proficiency in accounting softwares such as Quickbooks/Xero, and expert Excel-based reporting. Ability to reconcile accounts and problem solve errors and review incomplete records and advise on enhancing financial controls.
  • Attributes: High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote/hybrid environment.
