As a Network Engineer at Paragon, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of performance, security, and availability. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Plan and configure network architectures for complex environments, including LAN/WAN topologies, routing, and segmentation.
- Configure and maintain Firewalls, Switches, VPN servers and more.
- Proactively monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements and enhance overall network infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking, security trends, tools, and best practices to improve the overall network environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and security incidents, providing timely support to internal teams.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, network diagrams, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering.
- Proven experience with LAN architecture design, switching and routing concepts and network segmentation.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, NSE (FortiGate Security and Infrastructure), or other networking/security qualifications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience working within an in-house infrastructure team, with a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, IPSEC, SSLVPN etc.).
- Expertise in firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, IPTables) and solid knowledge of network security principles.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Linux proficiency, including automation and scripting experience with Ansible and Python.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
