Software Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a skilled and motivated C++ Software Developer to join a high-tech and international environment within medical technology. The role includes both new development and enhancement of existing solutions, with a strong focus on performance, quality, and scalability. In this role, you will work on the development of modern C++ software for hand-held medical ultrasound systems across multiple platforms. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and continuous improvement, in a highly demanding and quality-driven environment.

You will play a key role in developing robust and scalable solutions and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a complex and regulated setting.

Furthermore, you will:

• Design, implement, and test modern C++ software for hand-held ultrasound applications on macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows
• Design and implement SDK functionality for ultrasound data access and acquisition control
• Implement image processing functionality using modern graphics APIs
• Develop robust, well-documented, and maintainable software for both new features and enhancements to existing systems
• Contribute to high code quality through testable software design and solid unit test coverage

Furthermore, you have:

• A degree in Computer Science or another relevant STEM field (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later)
• Experience designing and implementing complex software systems
• Experience with unit testing and testable code design
• Experience with graphics programming (e.g., OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulkan, or WebGPU)
• Experience with cross-platform development for macOS, iOS, Android, and/or Windows
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

It is considered an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with native mobile application development for iOS and Android
• Experience with Qt and QML
