As a Procurement Senior Manager you will be responsible for leading strategic procurement and category management initiatives across assigned spend categories and business units. Your role drives value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, commercial optimization, procurement governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position is expected to lead complex sourcing activities, manage supplier and commercial strategies, improve procurement efficiency and compliance, reduce maverick spending, increase catalog and preferred supplier utilization, and support procurement transformation initiatives including systems, process improvements, analytics, and digitalization.
You may handle multiple procurement categories and/or enterprise procurement transformation programs depending on business requirements and organizational priorities.
What You’ll Do (your Mission)
- Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and execute category management strategies aligned with business objectives and operational requirements
Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities including RFI, RFQ, RFP, formal tenders, supplier negotiations, and commercial evaluations
Identify sourcing consolidation, supplier optimization, standardization, and cost reduction opportunities
Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization and commercial value creation
Establish and manage preferred supplier strategies, rate cards, and sourcing governance frameworks
Reduce maverick spending through sourcing controls, supplier consolidation, and catalog management initiatives
Increase catalog spend and procurement compliance through strategic supplier and operational alignment
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and governance mechanisms
Lead supplier business reviews, performance discussions, and escalation management
Monitor supplier performance, service levels, risk exposure, and operational reliability
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve supplier accountability, responsiveness, and innovation
Support supplier continuity and business continuity planning where applicable
- Commercial & Contract Management
Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, payment terms, rebates, service levels, warranties, penalties, and contractual obligations
Support contract strategy, renewals, amendments, and commercial risk management
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure commercially sound and operationally aligned agreements
Ensure sourcing and contracting activities comply with procurement policies, governance standards, and approval authorities
- Procurement Transformation & Continuous Improvement
Lead or Support procurement transformation initiatives including process redesign, procurement digitalization, ERP/eProcurement enhancements, analytics, and automation initiatives
Drive procurement operational efficiency improvements and sourcing process standardization
Support development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and performance metrics
Lead or support procurement projects related to systems, catalog management, sourcing optimization, supplier onboarding, and workflow improvements
Identify opportunities to improve procurement cycle time, stakeholder experience, and operational scalability
- Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
Act as strategic procurement business partner to assigned business units and stakeholders
Collaborate with operational teams to understand business requirements, sourcing priorities, and operational risks
Provide commercial guidance and procurement advisory support to stakeholders
Balance procurement governance with operational agility and business continuity requirements

Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Extensive experience in strategic procurement, category management, sourcing, and supplier management
- Experience handling multiple procurement categories and complex sourcing activities
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management capability
- Experience in procurement transformation, ERP/eProcurement systems, analytics, or process improvement initiatives is an advantage
- Strong analytical, operational, and leadership capability
- Experience in logistics, maritime, supply chain, facilities, construction, outsourcing, or operational procurement environments is an advantage
