Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive Social Media Assistant to support the execution of day-to-day social media activities.

This role focuses on content scheduling, community engagement, and platform management, helping maintain a consistent and engaging online presence across multiple channels.


Job Highlights

Schedule: Flexible within Australian time zone; 20h per week

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and publish content across platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts, ensuring consistency and activity
  • Engage with the community by responding to messages, comments, and interactions
  • Monitor engagement and support audience growth initiatives
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve social media performance
  • Track and report on social media activity and engagement metrics
  • Research and reach out to relevant influencers and collaboration opportunities
  • Collaborate with the social media manager to align on brand voice and strategy


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing social media accounts
  • Ability to provide a portfolio or examples of previous work (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Experience managing social platforms for business or personal brands
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow content plans


Highly Regarded Skills & Experience

  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar)
  • Background in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Awareness of current social media trends and best practices
  • Experience with analytics tools and performance tracking
