About The Role
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling quality engineering across complex software initiatives. You will go beyond test execution – influence automation strategy, define technical direction, and act as a trusted partner to engineering and product teams. You will mentor automation engineers, drive best practices, and ensure that automation is deeply embedded into delivery pipelines and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the test automation strategy, roadmap, and technical direction
- Design, maintain, and evolve scalable automation frameworks and architecture
- Establish automation standards, coding practices, and quality review processes
- Lead tool, framework, and environment selection to support automation goals
- Mentor and support Test Automation Engineers through coaching and technical guidance
- Coordinate automation planning, priorities, risks, and delivery across teams
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to ensure testability and coverage
- Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, web, and API layers using modern automation technologies
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and provide reporting, traceability, and quality insights
Requirements
- Proven experience in Test Automation engineering within complex software environments
- Strong hands-on background with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, RestAssured, Serenity-BDD, or Cucumber
- Proficiency in Java (17) and ideally Node.js / TypeScript
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Maven, or NPM
- Solid understanding of automation architecture, test strategy, and design principles
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale reusable automation frameworks
- Experience in mentoring or supporting other engineers
- Confident communication skills and comfort working in multicultural teams
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced English proficiency (upper-intermediate level or higher)
