Good Remote Setup, But Long Hours for Tech Consulting
Pros: The remote work setup is great, especially for us Software Engineers. I've been working from home in Austin, TX, and not having a commute really adds hours back to my day. The initial flexibility is a solid perk.
Cons: Work-life balance here is tough though. As an IT consulting firm, project deadlines are often super tight and it's common to work more than 40 hours. It's hard to disconnect completely when you're a remote Software Engineer.
Advice to Management: Encourage teams to set clearer boundaries for off-hours communication. Provide more tools and training on time management for global project work.

Pay's okay, benefits are just fine
Pros: The salary is decent for an IT services company, especially for my role as a Software Engineer. You get paid fairly for your work, which is good. There's a solid 401k match, which helps.
Cons: I feel like the healthcare benefits could use an upgrade; they're pretty standard. Salary reviews aren't as frequent as I'd like, so annual raises can be small. It's not top-tier compensation compared to some other big tech companies.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into enhancing the benefits package, especially healthcare options. More frequent and impactful salary adjustments would also boost morale.

Decent Start, Slow Career Growth
Pros: The initial onboarding as a Software Engineer was pretty solid. I got to work with various tech stacks on different client projects. It's good for getting broad IT consulting experience early on in your career.
Cons: Career growth felt pretty stagnant after the first year or so. It's tough to move up without a really clear path, especially as a remote employee. Promotions for software development roles are competitive, and often go to those who are more visible in the office.
Advice to Management: Create clearer internal pathways for career progression for remote employees. Invest more in structured mentorship for mid-level engineers to help them advance.
