Join a collaborative development team as a
Junior Software Developer (Microsoft Stack), where you'll work alongside experienced software engineers to maintain and modernize enterprise business applications. You'll contribute to the ongoing development of a core Visual Basic .NET platform while gaining hands-on experience with
VB.NET, C#, .NET technologies, Microsoft SQL Server, cloud services, AI initiatives, automation, and third-party integrations. This role is ideal for a developer with
1–3 years of experience who enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality software solutions through collaboration with senior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise software applications using VB.NET, C#, and Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Support the maintenance of legacy VB.NET applications while contributing to modern .NET development projects.
- Develop new features, enhancements, and bug fixes under the guidance of senior developers.
- Assist with software integrations, including third-party platforms such as Xero.
- Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries while working with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous product improvements.
- Contribute to AI, automation, and scripting initiatives as required.
- Use GitHub for version control and collaborate effectively within the development team.
- Work closely with senior developers to resolve technical issues, communicate progress, and proactively seek assistance when needed.
Required
Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1–3 years of software development experience.
- Experience with VB.NET, C#, or the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to .NET 8 or .NET MAUI.
- Experience integrating with Xero APIs.
- Experience using DevExpress or Syncfusion controls.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Azure App Services.
- Exposure to REST APIs, JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience or strong interest in AI, automation, or scripting.
