Position Responsibilities
Architecture & Design (25%)
- Lead technical design for new platform capabilities — multi-tenant isolation, external MCP server registration, deployment lifecycle management, release promotion pipelines.
- Define API contracts (request/response schemas, error envelopes, versioning strategy) between microservices and the portal.
- Design agentic workflow patterns using LangGraph or CrewAI: agent roles, task delegation, tool binding, state machines, and error recovery for complex multi-step workflows.
- Drive adoption of consistent platform patterns: deployment status enums, builder patterns for workflow generation payloads, structured AI output validation
Feature Development (40%)
- Own full-stack feature delivery: Alembic migration → FastAPI endpoint → portal UI → GitHub Actions CI job.
- Build and extend the AI enhancement service pipeline: endpoint scoring, description enrichment, embedding generation, module summarization using Claude and OpenAI APIs.
- Implement MCP server generation improvements — OpenAPI parsing edge cases, TypeScript code generation templates, Jinja2 template enhancements.
- Design and implement token exchange and user context propagation across agent-to-agent communication hops (A2A protocol).
- Integrate Argo Workflow templates for deployment lifecycle operations: promote, rollback, undeploy-all, blue-green cutover.
DevOps & Platform Reliability (20%)
- Maintain and extend GitHub Actions branch and release pipelines — build matrix optimization, security scanning gates, multi-environment deployment sequencing (int → perf → preprod → prod).
- Author Terraform modules for new cloud resources (OCIR repositories, IAM policies, Crossplane database claims).
- Instrument new services with OpenTelemetry; configure Prometheus alerting rules and Grafana dashboards.
- Enforce database migration discipline: Alembic-first schema changes, idempotent triggers, schema compatibility during rolling deployments
Mentorship & Standards (15%)
- Review PRs with substantive technical feedback; enforce code quality standards (Black/Flake8/Mypy for Python, ESLint/tsc for TypeScript).
- Guide junior engineers on agentic AI concepts: prompt engineering, tool-use patterns, output validation, cost-aware LLM usage.
- Document architectural decisions, service READMEs, and operational runbooks for the features you own.
- Participate in incident response; conduct lightweight post-mortems and follow through on action items.

Required Technical Skills
Backend
- Deep FastAPI experience: async patterns with asyncpg/SQLAlchemy 2.0, dependency injection, middleware, background tasks
- Comfortable with Celery, Redis pub/sub, or comparable async task and messaging patterns
- PostgreSQL: query optimization, index design, Alembic migration authoring, schema design for multi-tenant SaaS
- Redis: caching patterns, pub/sub, session management
Frontend
- Next.js App Router with TypeScript: server components, client components, data fetching patterns
- TanStack Query (React Query): cache invalidation strategies, optimistic updates, polling patterns
- Complex form workflows with React Hook Form and Zod schema validation
- Comfortable architecting component libraries with clear separation of concerns
AI / Agentic Systems
- Hands-on production experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or a comparable agent orchestration framework — not just tutorials; has shipped multi-step chains or multi-agent workflows to production or staging
- Understands agent design patterns: tool binding, state management, memory, structured output validation, error recovery
- Production-grade LLM API integration: Anthropic Claude and/or OpenAI APIs — streaming responses, tool use/function calling, context window management, cost optimization strategies
- RAG pipeline design: chunking strategies, embedding selection, hybrid search (dense + sparse), re-ranking
- Familiar with Model Context Protocol (MCP) server design and tool exposure patterns
Platform Engineering
- Kubernetes: writes production-ready manifests (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, RBAC, NetworkPolicies); understands liveness/readiness probes, resource requests/limits, pod affinity; blue-green or canary deployment patterns
- Docker: multi-stage builds, image optimization, container networking
- CI/CD: authors and maintains GitHub Actions workflows; understands matrix builds, secret management, multi-environment deployment sequencing
- Workflow orchestration: Argo Workflows or comparable DAG-based orchestrator (Prefect, Airflow)
- Infrastructure as Code: has written and applied Terraform plans; understands state management, modules, and remote backends
Cloud
- Production experience with at least one major cloud provider (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP) at the deployment and SDK level — container registry, IAM, managed Kubernetes (OKE/EKS/AKS/GKE), secrets management
Auth & Security
- Enterprise auth patterns: OAuth2, JWT, SAML, OIDC; token exchange and federation (RFC 8693 a plus)
- API security: key hashing, rate limiting, audit logging
Nice to Have
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience — OKE, OCIR, Vault, Object Storage
- Agent-to-agent (A2A) protocol patterns or inter-agent authentication design
- OpenTelemetry instrumentation and distributed tracing in Python/Node.js microservices
