Job Description
We are seeking a V&V Engineer / Test Engineer to join a Defence project during a peak in V&V activities.
In this contract, you'll be involved in the full testing lifecycle, from developing test procedures and executing tests through to analysing results, managing defects, and preparing documentation.
A key part of the role is supporting client demonstrations. You'll help prepare systems for demonstration, present testing outcomes and system capabilities, and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with the confidence to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, test cases, and supporting documentation.
- Plan and execute system, integration, and verification testing across multiple interconnected systems.
- Review requirements to ensure they are testable and maintain traceability between requirements, test activities, defects, and outcomes.
- Prepare for and support client demonstrations, clearly presenting system capabilities, testing activities, and outcomes to customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct testing activities, record results, and provide evidence to support verification and acceptance.
- Identify, document, prioritise, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with engineering teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams and key stakeholders to support project milestones and delivery objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and quality practices.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in verification and validation, systems testing, integration testing, or test and evaluation within complex technical environments.
- Experience developing test procedures, executing structured testing, and producing supporting documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present technical information during client demonstrations and engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong understanding of requirements traceability and defect management practices.
- Experience preparing test reports and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance is essential.
