Summary:
As a Data Platform Engineer, a typical day involves contributing to the development and refinement of the data platform blueprint and design. This role requires close collaboration with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure seamless integration across various systems and data models. The position demands active engagement in aligning platform components to support organizational data needs effectively, fostering a cohesive and scalable data environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data platform components with business requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data platform issues to maintain system reliability.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js (Express / NestJS) integrating with agent runtimes, LLM endpoints, and internal platforms.
Model and query data on MongoDB and PostgreSQL implement caching patterns using Redis where applicable.
Implement secure authentication and authorization flows (JWT, OAuth 2.0) and apply API security best practices.
Contribute to Angular-based frontend features where required to deliver end-to-end functionality.
Write unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha) participate in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies.
Containerize services with Docker and deploy through CI/CD pipelines on AWS / GCP / Azure.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Node.js.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with database technologies and data storage solutions.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
Must-have skills: Node.js (Express / NestJS), JavaScript / TypeScript, REST API design, microservices, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Git, Postman, Docker exposure to Angular, CI/CD, and cloud deployment preferred.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Node.js.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on Node.js backend development with full-stack contribution experience.
