Job Description
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to design, build, test, and deploy RESTful CRUD microservices within an enterprise application to support inventory system integration. They will enable critical integration capabilities ahead of a major system release, supporting organizational operational objectives. They will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless inventory data synchronization and overall system functionality.
Responsibilities
- The Supplier will design, build, test, and deploy a suite of new RESTful CRUD microservices within the existing PHSL application to deliver the Inventory Management functionality required by ImmsBC for its Panorama Inventory Integration.
- For each in-scope service, the work comprises:
- a deep database trace and reverse-engineering of the core Panorama transactions;
- documentation of the design specification, including the relevant business rules from BSL;
- new feature development and unit testing; deployment to the test environment; and BA/QA validation of the end-to-end integration test.
- The Supplier will reverse-engineer and re-implement the Panorama Inventory business rules so that transactions processed through PHSL have the same expected behaviour and data model interactions as the same transactions performed through the Panorama UI.
- The engagement also includes Technical Oversight:
- Facilitate design discussions;
- Collaborate with the PPHIS team on business requirements;
- Technical documentation;
- Support teams to resolve technical issues;
- Technical roadmap and enterprise architecture support;
- Release planning and implementation support
- The engagement also includes Project Oversight
- Conduct scrum ceremonies;
- manage scope, budget, quality, resources, and timelines;
- Facilitate issue resolution and risk management;
- Provide status reports and meeting minutes
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience implementing RESTful CRUD web services within the existing PHSL application.
- Prior experience delivering comparable PHSL service-implementation projects. The estimate explicitly cites ESTI, CD, and LAB as precedents that followed the same approach.
- Proven ability to reverse-engineer and re-implement Panorama business rules from the BSL, so that transactions processed through PHSL have the same expected behaviour and data model interactions as the same transactions performed through the Panorama UI.
- Working knowledge of Panorama and the ImmsBC integration, including the in-scope Inventory entities: catalogue items, cold chain sub lots, holding point profiles, holding point locations, requisitions, quantity-on-hand adjustments, and physical counts.
- Deep database tracing capability (per the per-service task "deep DB trace").
- Experience delivering under Agile methodology as defined for the Panorama team. Experience providing technical oversight (technical roadmap and enterprise architecture support; collaboration with the PPHIS team) and project oversight (scrum ceremonies; scope, budget, quality, resource, and timeline management; risk and issue management; status reporting).
