Pros: For my software engineering role, the work-from-home options were actually pretty good. I could pick a hybrid schedule or work fully remote from the San Francisco Bay Area. It really helped my work-life balance in this tech industry.
Cons: Sometimes the 'flexibility' meant just having to be online constantly due to our global team's schedule. The deadlines on our core product features were often really aggressive. That made truly disconnecting feel pretty tough sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to balance the ambitious product roadmap with employee well-being. True flexibility means not always being 'on' for teams across different time zones. Provide clearer guidance on async communication.

Pros: The salary for Software Engineer roles is quite competitive, especially working remote from Austin. There's also a pretty good equity package that makes staying worthwhile, which is nice for a growing SaaS platform.
Cons: Our health insurance options are just okay; they don't cover a whole lot, and dental isn't great. Also, annual raises aren't huge, so you really have to push for them.
Advice to Management: Look into better health and dental insurance plans. Investing more in benefits will really help retain talent long-term.

Pros: As an Account Executive at this SaaS startup, I felt the base salary was pretty competitive. The sales incentives are definitely achievable if you put in the work. It's a solid overall compensation package for this kind of company.
Cons: The biggest downside for me was the benefits package. Health insurance premiums were pretty high, which really eats into your take-home. Also, the 401k match isn't great, especially compared to bigger tech companies in the relationship intelligence platform space.
Advice to Management: Please re-evaluate the benefits package, especially the health insurance costs and the 401k matching program. Stronger benefits would make Affinity much more competitive for talent.
