Job Description
The IT Process Excellence Specialist is responsible for supporting IT process excellence initiatives focused on process standardization, continuous improvement, governance assessments, operational reviews, problem management, and IT awareness programs. The role helps improve operational efficiency, governance alignment, service quality, and process consistency across IT functions.
Key Responsibilities
Process Standardization & Optimization
- Analyze, document, review, and optimize IT processes, procedures, workflows, and service practices.
- Develop process maps, documentation, and improvement recommendations.
- Identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor implementation of approved process enhancement initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Governance Assessment
- Conduct process evaluations, governance maturity assessments, operational reviews, and gap analyses.
- Prepare assessment findings and improvement recommendations.
- Track action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support governance enhancement and process maturity programs.
Problem Management & Operational Improvement
- Monitor recurring operational issues and problem management activities.
- Perform trend analysis and support root cause investigations.
- Track corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address operational concerns and service issues.
IT Culture of Excellence & Awareness Programs
- Support governance awareness campaigns, service excellence initiatives, and process orientation sessions.
- Prepare presentations, communications, reports, and program materials.
- Assist in facilitating workshops, meetings, and awareness activities.
- Promote process compliance and continuous improvement across IT teams.
Governance Reporting & Documentation Management
- Prepare and consolidate reports, dashboards, process assessments, trackers, and operational updates.
- Maintain governance records, repositories, and documentation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on process excellence activities and operational requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of governance-related documentation.
Operational Support
- Provide specialist support for governance and process excellence initiatives.
- Participate in improvement projects, working sessions, and operational reviews.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support department objectives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Training or certification in IT Governance, IT Service Management, or Process Improvement is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Governance, IT Service Management, Process Improvement, Quality Management, Compliance, Operational Support, or related fields.
- Experience in process documentation, process analysis, operational reviews, or continual improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to governance, audit support, service management, or operational improvement activities is preferred.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.
