Overview:
We're looking for a Welding Process Engineer to lead process development, drive quality improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the production operations in Batangas.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and continuously refine welding processes (primarily GTAW/TIG) to meet quality targets, reduce cycle time, and improve cost efficiency
Prepare and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, and all process-related documentation
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and process deviations
Monitor and enforce welding quality standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
Support qualification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of welding equipment and systems
Analyze process performance data and generate reports on quality metrics and process trends
Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams — especially during new product introductions
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Welding Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in Welding or Manufacturing Engineering
Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG Welding); exposure to brazing, laser welding, or electron beam welding is a strong advantage
Familiar with stainless steel materials, welding metallurgy, and joining technologies
Experienced in FMEA, process validation, and root cause analysis methodologies
PRC Licensed Engineer (ME or MetE) preferred but not required
Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
