Job Purpose:

The Project Manager is a senior delivery leader responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of complex, cross-functional projects across the organization. This role drives strategic alignment between business objectives and operational outcomes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager exercises strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and sound judgment to navigate challenges, manage risk, and achieve measurable business value. This is a high-impact role that demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution discipline.

Essential Functions

Project Planning and Execution:

Define project scope, goals, success criteria, and deliverables in alignment with organizational strategy.

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, budgets, and dependency mapping.

Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and leadership to drive project success.

Delivery Governance And Quality Assurance

Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, delivery standards, and quality checkpoints throughout the project lifecycle.

Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned, post-project reviews, and best practice adoption across delivery teams.

Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for project stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Deliver clear, timely, and executive-ready communications on project status, risks, issues, and decisions required.

Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project progress.

Risk Management

Proactively identify, assess, and prioritize project risks, developing robust mitigation and contingency strategies.

Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure project delivery adheres to organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Resource Management

Plan and optimize resource allocation across teams, balancing capacity, capability, and project priorities.

Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability with accurate forecasting and variance reporting.

Documentation And Reporting

Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready project documentation including charters, plans, RAID logs, and status reports.

Generate meaningful reports on project performance, KPIs, financials, and outcomes for senior leadership and governance bodies.

Provide recommendations for future projects based on lessons learned.

  • Experience delivering projects across complex enterprise environments, including hybrid delivery models and geographically distributed teams.
  • Manage project activities including provisioning, configuration, and service administration in alignment with ITIL processes and organizational frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide end-user training and support.
  • Participate in project planning, testing, and deployment strategies and activities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses

  • Project Management certification (or equivalent) required.
  • Preferred if any one of the following certifications is available – PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe / Agile / ITIL

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex, high-value projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong command of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, including budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis across multi-phase engagements.
  • Project management certification (e.g., SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proficiency in enterprise project management tools and software, including MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; comfortable managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to communicate correctly and clearly with all internal and external customers.
  • Work successfully in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent customer service skills, including maintaining focus on the customer issue in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates ownership to resolve challenging customer issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Flexible with the working schedule; may be expected to work weekends, holidays and events.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause identification and defect elimination.
