Motorpool Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and used efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the vehicle fleet and motorpool facility
- Schedule and track vehicle use, maintenance, and inspections
- Supervise drivers, mechanics, and support staff; assign duties and shifts
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, repairs, and costs
- Monitor inventory of parts, tools, and fuel; assist with budgeting and procurement
- Train staff on safety procedures and proper vehicle operation
- Report on fleet performance, issues, and recommendations to management
Qualifications
- At least a graduate of any four-year course
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in motorpool operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
- Proven ability to manage and direct the work of skilled mechanics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking capabilities
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
