Role Summary
We are looking for an Android Automotive/AOSP Developer to design, develop, and integrate next‑generation infotainment features for production and prototype vehicles. The role involves Android Automotive OS (AAOS) development, UI/UX engineering, HMI feature creation, and integration of Android Auto and IVI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Android Automotive (AAOS) applications, services, and AOSP components.
- Implement UI/UX and HMI features for IVI systems.
- Integrate Android Auto functionalities and optimize IVI user experience.
- Work with vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet) for feature integration.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional feature teams in rapid prototyping environments.
- Participate in JIRA‑based sprint planning and Confluence documentation.
- Support demo, POC development, and in‑vehicle integration testing.
Required Skills
- 5+ years in Android app or system development; 2+ years in AAOS/AOSP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Android Auto, IVI, Kotlin/Java, Android frameworks.
- Experience with UI/UX engineering, HMI flows, and infotainment UX patterns.
- Understanding of E/E architectures, ECUs, and vehicle domain interactions.
- Familiarity with CAN/Ethernet basics for infotainment feature integration.
Good‑to‑Have
- Experience in prototyping AAOS features in innovation or predevelopment teams.
- Knowledge of Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) and PEAK PCAN.
- Exposure to EV systems, connectivity, media, and navigation domains.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Work Experience
5+ years in Android app or system development; 2+ years in AAOS/AOSP preferred.
