The Role:

The Front-End Developer is responsible for building and maintaining the client-side of web applications, translating product requirements into functional, performant, and visually consistent user interfaces.

The role requires a solid foundation in modern front-end technologies and frameworks, an eye for detail in implementing UI designs, and a growing ability to work independently on features of moderate complexity. The developer in this role is expected to take ownership of discrete workstreams, contribute to code reviews, and proactively develop their technical skills in line with evolving standards and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Write clean, scalable code using the React framework
• Adhere to systems security engineering principles
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
• Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies

Required Skills, Experience and Behaviours

• Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
• Hands on experience with markup languages and front-end UI frameworks
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a strong focus on React
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
• Understanding of layout aesthetics and key design principles
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards for UI development
• Knowledge of SEO principles
• An academic qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• English (B2+)

Desirable

• Exposure to learning, HR, or workforce analytics domains
• Prior experience in a scale-up or SaaS product company
