As an Application Support Specialist, you’ll ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of business-critical systems that power daily operations. You’ll provide timely technical support, resolve incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system stability and user satisfaction. Through proactive maintenance, continuous improvement, and strong security practices, you’ll help deliver dependable and efficient application services across the organization.
What you’ll do (your mission)
- Day-to-Day Application Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 (L2) incidents related to application errors, performance, and access issues.
- Escalate complex cases to Level 3 (L3) or development teams with complete and accurate documentation.
- Incident & Request Management
- Follow established runbooks and SOPs to diagnose and resolve known issues.
- Assist users with minor configuration changes and data corrections.
- Maintenance & Documentation
- Execute scheduled maintenance activities, including batch jobs and reporting tasks.
- Maintain and update knowledge base articles with solutions and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce ticket volume and resolution time.
- Work with internal teams to deploy bug fixes and minor system enhancements.
- Compliance & Security Management
- Follow security protocols for system access and data handling.
- Ensure compliance with audit, logging, and change management requirements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve application-related issues and implement fixes.
- Technical Development & Learning
- Maintain strong familiarity with IT infrastructure, application platforms, and information security practices.
- Develop deep understanding of system features, behavior, and support processes.
- Operational Flexibility
- Provide after-hours support when required for critical system incidents.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
