Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide range of traditional and contemporary dim sum dishes, including dumplings, buns, rolls, and other steamed or fried varieties.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation that aligns with restaurant standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen while strictly adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to develop new dim sum offerings and refine existing dishes.
  • Manage inventory to ensure ingredients are adequately stocked and prepared in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and maintain excellent standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dimsum Chef or in a similar role within a Chinese or Asian cuisine restaurant.
  • Expertise in crafting traditional dim sum, including dumplings, bao buns, and spring rolls.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, portion control, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
