The Chinese Program Director is responsible for promoting and implementing school's Chinese Program, as well as overseeing and supervising all the Chinese teachers in all departments in terms of the articulation and updating of the Chinese curriculum. He/She spearheads the events or functions in the Chinese community or institutions that promote the Chinese heritage and culture. Further, he or she coordinates with the Confucius Institute to facilitate the orientation/onboarding, regular or periodic and year-end evaluation of the Chinese teachers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS/AB) of any 4-year course, or has a diploma/certificate in Teaching Chinese Language
- High level of proficiency in Chinese Language both oral and written
- Master's degree with a minimum of 18 units in a relevant field of specialization (e.g., Education, Educational Management)
