General Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a team to design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly software applications using the Flutter framework and the Dart programming language, ensuring they meet design specifications and business needs.
- Produce clean, efficient, and well-structured Dart code adhering to established coding standards and organizational guidelines. Conduct initial unit testing on new features and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and stability.
- Assist in analyzing and troubleshooting basic frontend technical issues and bugs reported in the Flutter applications, and contribute to implementing straightforward fixes under guidance.
- Create and maintain necessary technical documentation for the frontend components, including code comments and simple design notes, to facilitate team understanding and knowledge transfer.
- Actively participate in an Agile development environment, contributing to activities like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, to ensure timely and collaborative project delivery.
- Work closely with other team members, including senior developers, designers, and product managers, to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, functional Flutter applications.
- Actively seek to learn and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in Flutter, Dart, and general mobile/web frontend development, suggesting small process improvements where applicable.
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, creativity, and decision-making.
- Integrate AI tools into existing workflows and processes to drive efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience/bootcamp certification in Flutter development.
- Basic to foundational proficiency in Dart programming language and the Flutter framework. Familiarity with Widget lifecycle, state management concepts (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, BLoC), and building responsive UIs.
- Foundational knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), declarative UI patterns (essential for Flutter), and basic software design principles.
- Foundational knowledge of Native Android (Kotlin/Java) and/or Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) structure. Must be comfortable navigating and making basic configuration changes within the native project files (e.g., AndroidManifest.xml or Info.plist) for tasks like permission setup or configuring external service packages.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and a keen ability to analyze, reproduce, and debug basic frontend bugs and errors.
- Basic knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum or Kanban).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly in a team. High attention to detail with a commitment to visually accurate and quality UI implementation.
- Strong eagerness to learn and rapidly adapt to new Flutter/Dart features, packages, and frontend best practices.
Experience
- 0-2 years worth of experience working on frontend applications, ideally using Flutter/Dart. This could include academic projects, personal projects, internships, or professional work.
- Proven ability to work with Flutter widgets, themes, and layouts to translate design mockups (from tools like Figma or Adobe XD) into functional user interfaces.
- Basic understanding of how to consume RESTful APIs within a Flutter application (e.g., using packages like http or dio) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and common Git workflows (e.g., branching, merging, pull requests).
