As an Associate Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping Bristlecone's data engineering and data science strategies. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data engineering and data science solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures, utilizing big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Optimize data warehousing solutions to enhance data accessibility and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their requirements and provide efficient data processing and storage solutions.
- Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering and data science, incorporating best practices into our processes.
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance, implementing robust data protection measures.
- Document and communicate data engineering processes and best practices to stakeholders.
- Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting for data pipelines and systems.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven products and services, driving innovation and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and data science roles.
- Proven expertise in big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services.
- Experience in designing and optimizing data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
