Duties & Responsibilities

Presents menu to guests and attends well to clarification regarding the menu. Promotes and offers other special menu, desserts, wines, beverages, etc.

Checks the correctness of the food before service and serves the food in proper sequencing and timing.

Takes efforts to build customer goodwill (regularly greets the guests and always ready to attend their needs; solicits feedback regarding the food/product and service.

Always stands in place where the guest can be seen; anticipates the needs of the guests and attends to their inquiries, complaints, concerns, and requests promptly.

Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.

Prepares/mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to prescribed standards.

Attends to bill-out requests immediately and verifies the correctness of the bill before presenting to the guest.

Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters; take them to the kitchen for cleaning.

Endorses the complete payment of the guest to the cashier and returns the change/credit card together with the official receipt to the guest. Place a tip on the tip box.

Attends to inquiries (either by phone or walk-in) regarding reservations, menus, and rates. Regularly do the follow-ups on pending inquiries and tentative reservations.

Maintains and updates reservation book with the necessary information and keeps all reservation signs in place. Ensures that information regarding reservations, cancellations, and adjustments are disseminated to all concerned departments.

Performs Other Responsibilities, Such As But Not Limited To

Cleans and dust tables and chairs

Cleans dining area, toilets, and other areas of responsibility

Organise a side stand for sufficient stock napkins, condiments, menu folder, tableware and the like

Dries glassware, chinaware, silverwares, and ensure everything is in its proper places.

Ensures availability of bar stocks and makes requisition when needed.

Conducts regular inventory of glassware, chinaware, and silverwares, and provides a report on breakage and other discrepancies.

Immediately reports defective furniture, fixtures, and equipment for repair and changes.

Ensures uniform is clean, ironed and complete (caps, name plate, etc.) and properly worn at all times while on duty.

Other tasks that may be assigned by the Management.
