Solid Benefits, Leadership Can Be Disconnected
Pros: The pay is competitive, and benefits are pretty good for a big tech company. I appreciated the flexibility of the hybrid model, splitting time between home and the Houston office. You get a good sense of stability working here, especially in enterprise hardware.
Cons: Upper leadership often feels out of touch with day-to-day operations for Project Manager roles. It's tough to get quick decisions, which bogs down progress on new IT solutions. I felt career growth could be clearer too.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with mid-level managers and individual contributors. Make decision-making processes faster and clearer. Also, be more transparent about career progression within IT solutions and Project Management.

Leadership can be a real mixed bag
Pros: I liked the flexibility for hybrid work in the San Jose office. The pay and benefits are solid for a big tech company. There's a lot of smart people working here, which makes the day-to-day good.
Cons: Leadership often makes decisions that don't make sense for the engineering teams. There's not enough clear vision from upper management, especially for Software Engineer roles. Promotions feel slow and sometimes arbitrary, like they're not really looking at performance.
Advice to Management: Management needs to get closer to the teams and understand daily operations better. More transparency in decision-making and a clearer career path for technical staff would help a lot.

Leadership is just okay, needs more transparency
Pros: You learn a lot working on large-scale enterprise tech projects. Some immediate team leads are genuinely supportive, which helps a lot as a Software Engineer. The standard big tech company benefits are solid.
Cons: Upper leadership often seems out of touch with what we actually do. Decisions feel top-down and sometimes random, affecting our project timelines in the Palo Alto office. There's a real lack of clear communication from management.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to focus on better communication with individual contributors, especially for roles like Software Engineer. More transparency in decision-making would go a long way.

Leadership is a bit of a mixed bag
Pros: My direct manager was super supportive, which was great. They really helped with my career growth as a Software Engineer. There are good resources for learning new skills in the tech industry.
Cons: Upper leadership feels really disconnected from the ground level. It's tough to get decisions made quickly here. Lots of corporate red tape that slows down innovation, even for hybrid teams in the Palo Alto office.
Advice to Management: Bridge the gap between senior leadership and individual contributors. Empower managers to make decisions faster. Cut down on unnecessary bureaucracy.

Leadership is a Mixed Bag in Big Tech
Pros: Working at HP definitely has decent benefits, which is expected for a big tech company. As a Software Engineer, I got to jump into some really complex projects, which was solid for skill building. Plus, the remote work setup they offer is pretty good.
Cons: The leadership, though, can be a real struggle. There's a lot of talk, but not enough action, making it tough to get things pushed through. It often feels like management just doesn't grasp the day-to-day for technical roles. Their vision changes often, which causes a lot of rework.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication and empower middle management more. Stop with the constant strategy shifts that impact teams so much.

Leadership is a real mixed bag here
Pros: I like the challenge of working on enterprise hardware projects. There's good access to resources if your manager is supportive. It's a stable job in big tech, which is a definite plus.
Cons: Leadership can be really out of touch with the day-to-day for Software Engineer roles. Decisions often feel top-down and slow, which impacts our agile development cycles. There's just not enough vision or clarity from senior management in the Palo Alto office.
Advice to Management: Listen to your technical teams more. Improve transparency in decision-making, especially for critical product roadmaps. Empower middle management to actually lead, not just relay orders.

Leadership is a mixed bag here
Pros: There's a lot of institutional knowledge, which is good for learning if you're new to enterprise software development. WFH flexibility is solid, especially for us Software Engineers.
Cons: Upper management often feels really disconnected from us folks on the ground. Decisions come down without much prior input, making it tough for project leads in this big tech environment. It's a very top-down culture here.
Advice to Management: Try to get more input from individual contributors before making big strategic changes. More transparency helps everyone.

Leadership at HP: A Mixed Bag
Pros: I've learned a ton as a Software Engineer here, especially from my peers. The teams in the Palo Alto office are really collaborative, which made the onsite work manageable. Plus, you get solid benefits you'd expect from a big tech company.
Cons: Leadership often seems disconnected from daily project work. It feels like they make quick decisions without much input from the engineering teams, which is tough. Getting clear strategic direction can be a real challenge sometimes.
Advice to Management: Managers need to engage more with individual contributors and truly understand project complexities before making major strategic shifts. Better communication from the top down would help a lot.
