Pros: The job security felt pretty good, even as a part-timer. Bath & Body Works is a big corporate retailer, so layoffs weren't a constant worry for us onsite staff. Plus, the employee discount on personal care products was a sweet perk!
Cons: The pay for Sales Associate roles isn't amazing, and hours can be inconsistent outside of holiday seasons. It's tough when they cut your shifts after Christmas.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more consistent hours for your loyal Sales Associates. It really helps with job satisfaction and retention in fragrance retail.

Pros: Working in retail sales at the Houston, TX location means you're always surrounded by nice smells. The discounts on body care and home fragrance products are great, and my coworkers were generally super supportive.
Cons: It's a large retail company, so you don't get much say in scheduling. Weekend shifts are non-negotiable, and during holiday rushes, the customer service demands are intense.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more flexible scheduling options, especially for longer-term Sales Associates. It'd help with retention.

Pros: It's a solid place to learn basic retail sales skills. They do offer training for in-store roles which is helpful for new hires. You can get some decent experience with inventory management.
Cons: Growth is really tough, especially beyond supervisor. There's not much room to move up from Sales Associate unless you really push it, even onsite in our Dallas store. Most folks just stay in the same spot.
Advice to Management: They really need to create clearer paths for advancement, even for onsite retail sales associates. More opportunities for cross-training or district roles would help retention.
