Work-life balance is okay, but beware crunch times

I worked here for a few years as a Software Engineer. The work can be really interesting, especially in the defense technology space, but sometimes the demands on your time get a bit much, impacting work-life balance.

Pros

Work-life balance can be decent, especially when projects aren't in crunch mode. The Singapore office definitely tries to offer some hybrid work options, which helps. As a Software Engineer, I found the core hours pretty reasonable most days.

Cons

However, when cybersecurity projects hit a deadline, it's tough. You'll put in longer hours, and it really eats into your personal time. Sometimes it feels like project managers don't quite grasp the load.

Advice to Management

Try to better manage project timelines and resource allocation to prevent last-minute crunch periods. It would help a lot with employee burnout and overall morale.
