Job security is okay for a startup
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I've had a pretty consistent project pipeline. It's a stable fintech startup for the core development team. They don't do mass layoffs, which is good.
Cons: But the SaaS development world moves fast. If your project gets deprioritized, there's a real worry. Not much transparency on long-term financials in the Austin, TX office. It makes you wonder about the next funding round.
Advice to Management: Be more open about company roadmap and financial health. It helps calm nerves, especially for folks worried about job security in a fast-paced fintech market.

Decent tech, but job security isn't its strong suit.
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Austin, TX office, I did get to work on some cool new software development projects. There's always something new to learn if you're into quick pivots. We have a hybrid model which is nice.
Cons: Job security here is pretty low. They've had a few rounds of layoffs recently across different engineering roles. The product roadmap can shift super fast, which often means project cancellations and folks getting let go. It's a mid-sized startup, so that's expected sometimes, but it's still stressful.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. It would really help calm nerves about potential restructuring and improve employee retention for tech talent.
