Pros: The health benefits package is pretty solid for a startup in the mental health tech industry. You get good medical, dental, and vision, which is a big plus. They also offer a useful WFH stipend.
Cons: The base salary for Software Engineer roles feels a bit low compared to other companies, even for a startup. There aren't many opportunities for significant bonuses either. It's just not competitive enough.
Advice to Management: Really look at market rates for Software Engineer compensation. Boosting base salaries would make a huge difference in retention and attracting top talent. Don't rely solely on benefits to make up the gap.

Pros: The health benefits, especially for mental health, are a huge plus. They walk the talk with their own digital wellness platform access. As a Product Manager, I appreciated the unlimited PTO, though using it fully was tough sometimes.
Cons: Base salary for my Product Manager role felt low compared to other tech startups in the region. There isn't much room for salary negotiation unless you're a really senior hire. The compensation structure for mental health tech generally lags a bit.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate salary bands, especially for experienced hires in core product roles. Being a tech startup doesn't mean compensation can't be competitive with bigger players. Invest more in performance bonuses.

Pros: The immediate team support is really good within the `engineering` department. I appreciate the `remote work` setup; it's pretty flexible for `Software Engineer` roles. We also get to work on some interesting `AI product development`.
Cons: Upper `leadership` often makes decisions without enough input from our `engineering` teams. Communication from the top down can be inconsistent, especially for `remote` employees. There's also a lack of clear strategic direction sometimes, which definitely affects project timelines and overall morale.
Advice to Management: Try to involve individual contributors more in strategic planning. Better, more consistent communication would also help `remote` teams feel more connected and informed about the company's direction.
