Okay Pay, But Commission is Tough Here
Pros: They offer a pretty standard base pay for recruitment roles, which is decent for a mid-sized agency. You get healthcare benefits, which is a plus, and the office location in Singapore is really central.
Cons: The commission structure for talent acquisition can be tough to hit, especially for new hires. It's really aggressive. I feel like the overall pay and benefit package could be more competitive across the board.
Advice to Management: Revisit the commission structure for Recruitment Consultants, especially in this market. Make it more attainable so people feel more motivated and less stressed about their take-home pay.

Okay flexibility for a recruitment agency
Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk here, especially for a Recruitment Consultant. We usually get a couple of WFH days, which helps with personal appointments. It's better than full-time onsite for sure in the Singapore office.
Cons: But even with WFH, you're expected to be available a lot. Client meetings often mean you're stuck in the office, so true work-life balance can be tough for this kind of recruitment industry role. It's not totally flexible as they say.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more consistent WFH options, even when clients are involved. It would really help with employee morale.

Decent for a start, but growth can stall
Pros: As a junior Recruitment Consultant, you'll learn the ropes fast. The initial training in talent acquisition is pretty solid, and it's a good place to get hands-on experience in the Singapore recruitment market, especially with tech roles.
Cons: After the first year, career growth stalled for me. There aren't many clear paths for internal promotion into senior Recruitment Consultant positions. It feels like you hit a ceiling pretty quickly, which isn't great for long-term career development in the recruitment industry.
Advice to Management: Create clearer paths for internal promotions. Invest more in specialized training for senior talent acquisition roles to keep good people from leaving.

Decent commissions if you can hit targets
Pros: The commission structure is pretty solid if you consistently hit your numbers. For a recruitment agency in Singapore, it's competitive on that front. You can earn good money if you're a high performer in talent acquisition.
Cons: The base salary for a junior recruitment consultant feels a bit low for living in Singapore. It's tough when you miss targets; the variable pay makes it stressful. Benefits are pretty standard, nothing to write home about.
Advice to Management: Consider raising the base salaries for recruitment consultant roles to reduce financial stress. Also, review the benefits package to be more competitive within the HR and recruitment industry in Southeast Asia.

Good for learning, intense for company culture
Pros: The team is pretty supportive, especially when you're starting out as a Recruitment Consultant. You learn a lot about talent acquisition strategies working in their Singapore office. It's a decent place for junior recruiters to gain experience.
Cons: The company culture can feel really intense; it's a high-pressure sales environment. Work-life balance is tough, with expectations for long hours even in a hybrid model. Sometimes there's a bit too much micromanagement from senior leadership.
Advice to Management: Try to ease up on the pressure a bit and focus more on employee well-being. Better work-life balance would really help retention.

Leadership Needs Work, But Great Team
Pros: The best part is the supportive environment among fellow Recruitment Consultants. I've learned tons about talent acquisition in the Southeast Asia market, especially for tech roles. The commission structure for successful placements is pretty competitive.
Cons: Leadership is often inconsistent. We don't get much clear guidance, which is tough for those of us in client-facing roles. It feels like micromanagement, especially when we're trying to make the hybrid work model effective.
Advice to Management: Improve communication and provide clearer strategic direction. Trust your team leads and Recruitment Consultants to deliver without constant oversight. Empowering people will boost morale and productivity.

Decent for Recruitment Consultant, but Watch the Market
Pros: They offer solid training, especially if you're new to the headhunting game in Southeast Asia. You get decent exposure to different industries and client types. The team in the Singapore office is quite supportive when things get tough.
Cons: Job security isn't rock solid because it's so tied to the overall staffing market. When the economy slows down, finding new talent acquisition roles gets harder. Commission structures can make pay a bit unpredictable for a Recruitment Consultant.
Advice to Management: Try to create more stability for Recruitment Consultants when the market dips. Maybe explore retainer models or offer more internal cross-skilling opportunities in talent acquisition. Support us more during slow periods.
