Pros: As a Software Engineer at this fintech startup, I really like the hybrid model. Getting a few WFH days a week is pretty sweet for my work-life balance in Singapore. It helps a lot with personal errands and avoiding the daily commute.
Cons: Sometimes, it feels like WFH days aren't truly 'off-site' because spontaneous meetings pop up. For a company in the digital asset securities industry, I think we could have clearer boundaries. There's also an expectation to be super available, which can blur the lines between work and home.
Advice to Management: Formalize the WFH expectations and meeting protocols. This would help employees truly leverage their flexible days without constant interruptions.

Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, which is good for a growing fintech startup. I usually get a couple of WFH days a week as a Blockchain Developer. It's nice to avoid the rush hour commute to the Singapore office sometimes.
Cons: The flexibility has limits though. Core hours are pretty strict, so true remote work from another time zone isn't really an option. Sometimes it feels like you're still expected to be online way past typical hours due to project demands in the digital assets space.
Advice to Management: Try to make the hybrid model more genuinely flexible. Maybe reconsider the strict core hours for some roles, especially for Blockchain Developers who can work asynchronously on certain tasks. It would really help with work-life balance.
